Lovely Hoffman is an award-winning musical theatre performer, singer/songwriter, and educator. In 2017, Lovely released her single, My Black Is Beautiful, a song about self-love, self-acceptance, and Black pride, which went viral and reached #45 on the Adult Contemporary Radio Charts. She is celebrated for her impactful songs that hold deep cultural significance in the Black community, including “A Kwanzaa Song,” “Black Lives Matter,” and “Juneteenth.” Lovely Hoffman is also an actress and received the IRNE Award for Best Actress in a Musical for portraying Celie in the New England premiere of “The Color Purple.” She has been honored with the Elliot Norton Award and was part of the ensemble that received the Best Ensemble recognition for the production of “Ain’t Misbehavin.” Lovely has been featured on CNN, BET, The Boston Globe, and Essence Magazine. Lovely recently graduated from the Harvard Graduate School of Education (Ed.M), where she focused on Arts and Learning.
