Since launching his residency and dance party The Funkshun: Hold My Drank! at Middle East Restaurant and Nightclub in 2018\, Stackz has built a signature sound—Stiggity SMMR Soul—that blends House\, Hip Hop\, R&B\, Baile Funk\, Disco\, Future Beats\, and global dance music into high-energy journeys built for both dancers and party spaces. \n\n\n\nAs the founder of StiggityStackz Worldwide\, his DJ practice extends beyond nightlife into community-centered cultural experiences. This week’s performance will feature Toki Wright & VINNYMUCHO \n\n\n\n\n\nArtist Bios\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nToki Wright\n\n\n\nToki Wright is a two-time Emmy Award-winning MC\, poet\, producer\, and cultural diplomat.  He has received two CLIO Award for advertising with General Mills for the number one worldwide Twitter trending project “Watch the Stove” which was also nominated for a Cannes Lion Award.  Wright is currently the chair of the Professional Music Department at Berklee College of Music in Boston.  Before relocating he was the Department Head of the United States’ first fully accredited Hip-Hop Studies program at McNally Smith College of Music. The program was awarded the “Best Transformative Higher Learning Model” from the Hip-Hop Education Center at NYU. He currently serves as the Education Director of KA and has worked on a variety of their shows including School of Rock\, Honk\, Barry and the Bear\, and Tuck Everlasting. This summer\, Bee can be found working at Wheelock Family Theatre again\, or listening to an audiobook. Liv\, luv\, KA <3 \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nKelly Furman\n\n\n\nKelly Furman (she/her) is entering her senior year at Emerson College\, earning her BFA in Theatrical Design & Technology (Lighting and Sound focus). Kelly  is incredibly grateful to be a part of the KA family\, and to be serving as Production Manager. She loves creating art through collaboration\, and has been able to do so on my productions at Emerson College\, including Kidding Around’s Diary of a Wimpy Kid The Musical and Honk! (Lighting Designer). Kelly is also a part of Musical Theatre Against the Grain\, the EVVY Awards\, Planned Parenthood Generation Action\, and Emerson Dance Company\, and works around Boston and New York City.
