DESCRIPTION:Ron Reid is a bassist\, steel drummer\, educator and composer. The Trinidadian musician is also a Professor of Contemporary Writing and Production at Berklee College of Music. He has performed with Randy Weston\, Carmen Lundy\, Dave Samuels Caribbean Jazz Project as well as a host of notable calypso and soca artists. He has three CDs as a leader\, the most recent ‘Precious Metals’ was released on the Jazz Urbane label.
