Maggie Monroe
June 27th @ 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm
UnCommon Corner, Boylston St &, Tremont St, Boston, MA 02116
Born into sweet tea, slow talkin’, and Dolly Parton, Maggie Monroe attributes their early appreciation of Appalachian bluegrass, folk, and country music to their North Carolina home. Inspired by Brandi Carlile, Patty Griffin, and Nickel Creek, Monroe strives to combine roots styles to create an Americana sound entirely their own. Monroe’s original music chronicles their experience leaving home for the first time to study at Berklee College of Music in Boston. Their catalogue is a collection of highs and lows, first love and loss, freedoms and expectations. Monroe is a storyteller excited to take you on a journey to North Carolina and back!
