K-Pop on the Common
May 10th @ 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm
K-Pop takes over the UnCommon Corner on May 10 with a DJ, Random Dance, and performances from EKStone and BGirls. Selfie card giveaways, trivia, photo props, and a selfie card holder decorating station will make the night even more unforgettable! Prizes for the best Random Dance! This event was curated by BCE students Carly Rosenberger, Gail Andersen, John Marcone, Maximiliano Valenzuela, Theodore Bushara and EKStone co-founder Weiyi Chen.

EKStone is a vibrant student-led dance organization based at Emerson College that brings together K-POP enthusiasts from both the Emerson community and the greater Boston area. We welcome individuals of all dance levels and celebrate the diversity of our members’ cultural backgrounds. Whether you’re a seasoned performer or just starting out, if you share a passion for K-POP, you’ll find a supportive and inspiring community here.

BGirls B-Girls (Berklee Girls) is Berklee’s premier student-led K-Pop girl group and creative collective, bringing together performers, songwriters, producers, choreographers, and business minds to create something truly unique on campus. First showcased in 2024, we combine live singing and dancing with original songs and remixes, crafted and performed by students. Our structure mirrors the professional K-Pop industry, from concept development to performance, offering members real-world experience in a collaborative, artist-driven environment. We follow a dual-concept theme inspired by cats: Kitties (cute & bubbly) and KLAWS (fierce & chic), a nod to Berklee’s mascot, Mingus the Jazz Cat. Beyond performance, we aim to promote cultural exchange by framing K-Pop as both an academic and creative practice, exploring how global pop culture can intersect with local experiences and educational environments. While we use the term “girl group” in alignment with traditional K-Pop standards, our collective is open to everyone who resonates with our vision, regardless of gender.
At B-Girls, we’re not just performing K-Pop—we’re reimagining it at Berklee.
