Join HipStory for their bi-weekly series, “Rhythm and Roots,” a live music and dance event that celebrates the deep-rooted traditions of Black music and movement. Rhythm & Roots will feature a rotating lineup of live bands, dance performances, and open jam sessions where musicians and dancers can exchange rhythms and movement.

Christine Bilé
Christine Bilé is an acoustic pop-folk singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist based in Pittsfield, Massachusetts, located in the scenic Berkshires region. The child of Ivorian parents, Christine blends soulful vocals, ukulele, and guitar into songs that uplift, empower, and move you. She’s performed across the Northeast—including Rockwood Music Hall, The Ladybug Music Festival, and Berkshire Busk—and her music has aired on stations like WEXT, WEQX, WRKF, and Beyond Radio (UK). A 2025 recipient of both the Mass Cultural Council Creative Individuals Grant and the Martha Boschen Porter Fund, Christine is a fresh, heartfelt voice in the folk-pop scene. She is slated to perform at the 22nd Annual Sugar Hill Folk Festival and was recently selected as a finalist for the 2025 SolarFest Singer-Songwriter Showcase.

ALDRA is a Cambridge, MA-based performing and recording artist whose music draws influence from soul, rock, and alternative pop. She captivates listeners with velvety tones, profound lyrics, and imagery to bring them on a journey through her life experiences.
