Jazz guitarist, Sheryl Bailey brings her “Three-0” to UnCommon Corner, featuring drummer Neal Smith and bassist Ian Ashby.
Sheryl Bailey is an internationally acclaimed jazz guitarist, composer, recording artist, and educator whose dynamic artistry has earned praise from DownBeat magazine as “one of the new greats of her chosen instrument.” As a bandleader, she has toured extensively throughout North America, Europe, Asia, Australia, South America, and the United Kingdom with projects including the Sheryl Bailey 3, the SBQ, Taurus Power, The Electric Ladyland Project, and Plucky Strum. Bailey has released twelve critically acclaimed albums as a leader, with her next recording, Renewal, scheduled for release on Cellar Live in 2027.
A longtime Professor of Guitar and Assistant Chair of the Guitar Department at Berklee College of Music, Bailey is also a sought-after clinician and author. Her Mel Bay book Moveable Shapes and her bestselling TrueFire courses have become valued resources for jazz guitarists worldwide. She performs on her signature McCurdy Mercury model guitar.
