Come by UnCommon Corner for an Acappella Takeover Event! Featuring 4 different student groups from across Emerson College, join Acappellics, Achoired Taste, Noteworthy, and Skintones for an afternoon with a Pitch Perfect twist.

Acappellics

Acappellics is Emerson’s only competitive A Cappella group. They compete every spring at the International Championship of Collegiate A Cappella! They sing a variety of pop and indie songs arranged by their very own group members, and go on a retreat every year to further the group bond. They love to sing and boogie together!

Achoired Taste

Achoired Taste is a dynamic, student-run a cappella group at Emerson College’s Boston Campus dedicated to bringing popular music to life with energy and passion. Formed to enhance the college’s creative culture, the group provides a diverse and fun environment where individuals share their love for singing and music. Beyond performing on campus, Achoired Taste serves as an ambassador for Emerson’s thriving a cappella community by participating in outreach events and collaborating with other collegiate groups across the Greater Boston Area, New England, and beyond.

Noteworthy

Noteworthy is Emerson College’s premier a cappella group. Formed in 2002, the group focuses on intricate dynamics of melodies mixed with innovative beats to bring a new twist to classic and contemporary tunes. We create a family through music and bring our sound to multiple venues on and off campus.

Skintones

Founded in the Spring of 2017, Skintones is an a cappella group that seeks to elevate the voices of BIPOC artists through music. We are a family first, and our bonds are the cornerstone of our group. We seek to provide a place to call home for all students on campus, members or otherwise, and encourage the larger Emerson community to celebrate BIPOC music.
